Versatile Christmas decoration for every room

Every home is decorated differently and therefore requires different decorations at Christmas time . Browse through our selection and discover new trends!

Christmas lights

The days and weeks before Christmas are a very special time of light. The streets are lit up, almost every window is decorated with a star, a swing or a string of lights . Christmas without candlelight is unthinkable! Advanced LED candles are extremely popular. They now create an atmosphere that is just as cozy as real candles with flames. However, you can leave them burning unattended and take no risk.

Advent, Advent, a little light is burning

The Advent wreath is one of the most important decorative items in the run-up to Christmas! But it doesn't always have to be shaped like a wreath. In the Lifestyle & More online shop you will find a very original version of Advent decoration: four candles that stand on the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4. The candle holders not only look very original, but are also made of the trendy material cement. They are therefore worthwhile as a tasteful decoration for the home and also as an eye-catching event decoration.

Decorations for your holiday table

When the whole family comes together on Christmas Eve and during the holidays, Christmas is perfect! Of course, decorations should not be neglected during the delicious meals either. Start with a simple white tablecloth on which you arrange your best dishes and cutlery. In the middle of the table you have space for Christmas decorations. Whether cute little angels, real or LED candles, modernly designed reindeer or stylishly composed Christmas balls: you can set up your table for a contemplative feast in no time at all. Just make sure that there is enough space around the table decorations for food and drink.

Christmas decorations on the Christmas tree

The decoration of the Christmas tree is also no longer as classic as it was a few years ago. The baubles are becoming more and more colorful and unusual, and painted versions - for example with a golden reindeer head - are also popular. Don't forget the fairy lights, the little lights quickly create a festive atmosphere. Don't have room for a whole Christmas tree? Arrange a few branches of fir green in a floor vase and decorate them as you like!

Tips for decorating with Christmas decorations

Beautifying your home during the pre-Christmas period is sometimes not so easy. We'll give you three tips to help you decorate your own four walls in a contemplative way!

What is your style?

Every apartment is decorated differently. Many tenants or owners focus on a very specific style that either applies to a specific room or to the entire home. Decorating for Christmas is best done if you stick to the given style! Of course , Lifestyle & More has Christmas decorations for different styles and tastes:

  • Classic
The Christmas tree bears the traditional red and white baubles, a music box provides the musical accompaniment and the well-known nutcrackers watch over the rest of the decorations: classic Christmas decorations never go out of fashion!
  • Country style
The rustic country house style is particularly effective in combination with Christmas decorations carved from wood. They go perfectly with the solid furniture.
  • Modern
Modernly furnished apartments usually score points with little decoration and rely on a hint of minimalism. It is worth concentrating on a few, but eye-catching, pieces per room. You can score points here, especially with the Christmas tree: How about black and gold baubles and fir branches covered in artificial snow?
  • Romantic
Yes, Christmas decorations can be romantic, even a little kitschy! Cute angels, snowy landscapes and lots of LED lights are perfect for Christmas.

Mix different styles

Of course, you don't have to limit yourself to just one style. You are completely free when it comes to decorating for the contemplative season! Trust your gut feeling and combine the decorative items that you like best.

Don’t overdo it: too much decoration will overwhelm

Even if you want a wonderfully contemplative Christmas wonderland, too much decoration has a negative effect. But that doesn't mean that you can't decorate every dresser and every windowsill with pretty decorations. Quite the opposite! Just make sure that it doesn't get out of hand. Tip: Put away the decorative items in your interior that decorate your home all year round shortly before you start decorating for Christmas. This leaves more room for winter decorations and you don't have to worry about different styles.

How to store your decorations after Christmas

Christmas decorations are often very fragile and small. That's why it's important to store them well from January to November so that they're still in good shape after the long period of storage. This also ensures that you can find them in time and without having to search for them as soon as you get into the Christmas spirit. Below you'll find some useful advice on how to store your contemplative decorations safely!

  • It is best to store the Christmas decorations in the packaging in which you bought them! The product is often printed on it, so you can immediately see what is in the box.
  • Store Christmas baubles and other small items in boxes with separate compartments. This will prevent delicate glass or porcelain from banging together and ribbons from getting tangled. For particularly delicate decorative items, it's worth repurposing an empty egg carton.
  • Before packing particularly delicate ornaments, pad them with bubble wrap or paper. This will protect your beloved objects from breaking if the box is dropped.
  • Do you love decorating your own four walls with fairy lights ? Then you've probably already come across the ever-unpopular tangle of cables. Wrap the strings and cables of the garlands loosely around a piece of cardboard before packing them in a box.
